General availability, when any entity with a pharmacy or pharmacy-related internet site might apply and, if approved, sign up for a .pharmacy domain name, will begin on June 3, 2015. Aside from those Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites&reg already; or Veterinary-Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites® accredited or NABP e-AdvertiserCM-approved, entities seeking a .pharmacy domain name must first fill out an application, supporting documentation, and a credit card applicatoin fee to NABP. NABP shall evaluate these materials to ensure compliance with plan standards. Note that, as part of the application process, the content of the proposed website must be designed for review by NABP. NABP is usually establishing a network of international regulatory organizations to facilitate evaluation of international domain name applications. Continue reading
